Naked models parading the Flower Carnival in Bangkok

The Nai Lert Park Hotel Bangkok's Annual Fair 2008 to be held between August 22 and 24, is taking a more colorful & fun-filled approach this year, by calling itself the Flower Carnival.

The event organisers got their advertising act together by parading naked models covered only with colorful orchids (seen in the photo below).

The hotel will turn its four-and-a-half rai of private park into a permanent orchid garden, featuring more than 250 species.

Orchid expert Rapee Sagarik will be setting up the garden, worth around 40 million Baht.

The brainchild of Thanphuying Lursakdi Sampatisiri, an ardent plant and flower lover and the honorary Hotel chairperson, says the event has grown from "just a flower show" into a public and social affair. It raises 38 million Baht for charities. This year the money is going to the Kidney Foundation of Thailand.

Participants this year include leading flower arrangers and top business people. Other activities include flower-arrangement demonstrations, celebrity fashion shows, a superstar concert, an afternoon tea concert with Jennifer Kim and friends, cooking demonstrations, a photography event, a shop-till-you-drop bazaar and a plant market. There will also be a special demonstration of sogetsu floral arrangements by Madame Kako of Japan.

Below are pictures of the models doing the floral parade taken from DailyXPRESS

HancocK Eyes Bangkok Billboard & Review

This is the billboard of Hancock movie at BTS which says "HancocK Eyes Bangkok", a good play on words that rhyme pretty nicely.

I watched the movie yesterday evening at Central World SFX Cinema, a day before the official release since it was a special screening for winners of KBank's ATM SIM promotion in which I won 2 free tickets! I think the trailer of this movie was really cool, but the movie was great only in the first half, the second half was just sort of OK not as good as expected. Will Smith plays a superhero who can fly and doesn't get hurt by bullets but whiskey gives him hangovers, and he does not have any friends at all. It could have been made more interesting if Hancock had some friends, hobbies, or some toys to play with. I would rate this movie at 3 out of 5 stars.

Checkout the poster above, Hancock has this look with deep concentration and the left-side of his lips slightly lifted.

Wall Street Institute Advert at BTS

Wall Street Institute Bangkok have this advertisement placed at most BTS stations with the tagline "Speak English with Confidence", where a model poses with a lipstick colored as a US flag. They have recently opened a new branch at Seacon Square. They boast a 97% success rate, and what about the remaining 3%? I guess the other 3% would be happy with basic Engrish.

In their website Wall Street Institute Bangkok you can take a look at pictures of some confident Wall Street Girls and even vote for them. This is where you could find some interesting Engrish profile descriptions.

Green worm crawling up my pants

I dont know where it came from but as I lay in bed I found this small green caterpillar worm slowly finding it's way up my pants. oh not from the inside, from the outside luckily. It reminds me of those Unif Green Tea worm imee jotai adverts on tv.

It looks pretty cute and soft, but it moves so slowly that it makes me wonder why it has so many legs for.
