Santa Claus cancels Bangkok chimney tour

This year December has been so hot in Bangkok that Santa Claus seems to have cancelled his Bangkok chimney tour, my socks were hanging empty so I decided to wear them instead. And I had to collect my Christmas present from the Christmas tree to keep merry.

November was much colder as everybody I know saved atleast 500 Baht on their electricity bills. Global warming and El Nino are getting very nasty, so I guess Santa is pretty happy with his American and European rides, except for the Santa who was knocked down unconscious by an object thrown at his face while he was riding on the back of a truck decorated as a sleigh just a week before Christmas. Whatever it was, it broke his nose and gave him a concussion and two black eyes like a Panda in the picture below.

King Naresuan Episode 3, where art thou?

King Naresuan 3 hasn't been released yet. Last time I checked the release date was supposed to be 5th December 2007, the King's birthday. I don't see any news of it anywhere, even the official movie website has disabled the news link, I guess they must've had some shooting delays. After the immense popularity of King Naresuan Episodes 1 and 2, I just can't wait to grab some cheese popcorn and watch this movie in a cinema.

Nokia E51 with WiFi

Nokia E51 is selling like hot cakes in Bangkok! The Thai price is 11,500 Baht which is pretty cheap for a phone with WiFi, 16 million colors, Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP, 3G, Edge and all that stuff. Though it isn't as slim as the Nokia 6500 Classic, an extra 2.5 mm isn't that bad.

Tiny thumb-sized colorful bats discovered

Tiny bats were discovered this week at Wang Takian subdistrict in Chachoengsao province which were previously unknown to local residents.

Paitoon Tronglim, a 35-year-villager, told reporters that around 6pm on Monday, he found a group of strange bats with golden yellow fur along the bodies and black skin on the back of the wings.

The bat 's body size was about that of a human thumb, around four centimetres long. The length from wing tip to left tip when extended was about 20 centimetres.

The villager said he had earlier seen the bats flying around the area but this was the first time he had managed to capture two bat specimens after they hid inside a rolled banana leaf. He said that the colour of the bats was different from common varieties which are black or brown, and he wanted to know to what species the bats belong.

The Bumblebee Bat, also known as Kitti's Hog-nosed Bat, is the world's smallest species of bat at 30-40 mm in length and weighing approximately 2 grammes.

Thai Elections this Sunday, no booze no beer

Thai elections are up this Sunday, and it's time to stock up on beer and booze as no one is allowed to sell alcohol, to prevent both drunk voting and drunk driving. Probably half of Bangkok would be going back to their home up and down the country to cast their votes.

College dude with a Mickey Mouse tin

I've seen Disney merchandise on children, women, and even some men. Mickey Mouse t-shirts, bags, belts, coats, purses, and even a Mickey leather jacket. But this is the first time I'm seeing a young male university student walking around holding a Mickey Mouse tin on his way to college early in the morning. I wonder what's inside it maybe some chocolates? But it sure looked damn colorful!

It's a week before Christmas and maybe I'll get one of those for Christmas giveaways!

Green worm crawling up my pants

I dont know where it came from but as I lay in bed I found this small green caterpillar worm slowly finding it's way up my pants. oh not from the inside, from the outside luckily. It reminds me of those Unif Green Tea worm imee jotai adverts on tv.

It looks pretty cute and soft, but it moves so slowly that it makes me wonder why it has so many legs for.
